Snow days are a great day to catch up on your reading... and your reading log!! :)
I hope you stay safe and warm!
Below is my email from yesterday.
Happy Monday!
I'm sure many of you already received the phone call that school will be canceled Jan. 27th, due to the snowstorm heading our way.
Students are still taking their homework packets home today. These are expected to be returned on this Friday. The homework does not have the usual cover page. Instead it is a packet that starts with the story of the week.
I will be out of school from this Thursday-Monday due to a family engagement. The subsitute teacher will still be collecting homework, giving the reading test, and giving the spelling test. Please be sure your student is prepared. The reading test is on the story An Egg is an Egg. This is in our homework packet. You can go to our class website and find my SpellingCity link. There, students can click on the story title and practice/play games using our spelling words.
This Friday is a Patriots spirit day to support our team in the SUPER BOWL! Be sure your student wears his/her Patriots or Red, White, and Blue to bring our team luck!
Students will also receive a homework packet next Monday. That homework packet is titled Ruby in Her Own Time. It will have the usual cover page. :)
I hope everyone stays safe and warm! Please continue to watch for updates in regards for school on Wednesday.
Have a great week,
Kelsey Bower
