Tomorrow (10/20), students will receive a yellow note home from me. Please read it over and return the bottom portion ASAP - it is in regards to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Thank you!
Students will also receive their homework packet for our story this week - An Egg is an Egg. We will be focusing on short e, Initial Blends, Realism and Fantasy, and Story Structure. We will have our first official spelling test this upcoming Friday!
In Math this week we are focusing on labeling units (for example: 5 cars) and solving number stories (change to more, change to less).
We will start taking books out from the library on Oct. 31st. While we do have library every Friday, Mrs. McNulty has been busy teaching students about the proper way to handle and take care of books.
Please be sure to practice tying shoes with your child at home. Many friends are struggling with this. It is a skill we would like for students to be able to do independently. :) Also, it is important to remind students to use sneeze and cough catchers, a tissue, keep our hands/thumbs out of our mouths, and to wash their hands frequently. Thank you!!
Many students are coming into school without a snack. Please remember to send a snack in with your child every day.
Have a great rest of the weekend!
