Tomorrow all Move-a-thon donations are due! If your child has raised money, please send it in tomorrow.
Our special Pasta lunch will be on June 2nd for winning (with Mrs. Stewart's class) Pennies for Patients! All students in Room 101 will be able to have pasta and breadsticks from the Olive Garden on that day. You do not need to send a lunch in. If your child does not want pasta, he/she may buy or order lunch from school or bring in his/her own lunch.
While we will not have a homework packet, students will still have spelling words and a reading test on Friday. Please be sure students practice their spelling words at home this week. They will bring home the list tomorrow.
Tomorrow students will also be bringing home a permission slip for our walking field trip to Capron Park Zoo. This is an exciting and fun field trip first grade takes every year. Our field trip date is June 16th. If you would like to chaperone, you must already have a CORI on file with Willett and be willing to walk to Capron Park from Willett, around Capron Park, and then back to Willett. Information on chaperoning will also be sent home tomorrow.
I am working on uploading treasure projects to our classroom website. I can only post the projects of students who returned their project slip and that we have permission to publish (sent home earlier this year) if there are identifying features of the project. These came out so great! I was able to share some of them at Professional Development on Friday and other Attleboro teachers were so impressed with our first grade writing skills!! Many questioned that they were in fact first graders based on their writing! :) I was a very proud teacher (as I always am!)!
This week it is going to be VERY hot in our classroom. Students are strongly encouraged to bring reusable water bottles to school. Again, please leave Gatorade and other fruit juices in lunch boxes for lunch-- tese should not be in the classroom.
I hope everyone has a great week! :)
