I would love for you to check out the "About Mrs. Bower" page. You can find this right at the top of this website. You can also find my contact information there as well.
If you are wondering what you will need for the first day of school, I've included a letter below from the first grade teachers.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer... and I will see you soon! :)
Love,
Mrs. Bower
P.S. Check back frequently... I post often! I'm sure I'll have more updates before September 1!
Dear Families,
As this school year ends, we would like to congratulate your child for all their hard work in kindergarten and welcome them to the first grade in September. We would like to give you some help as you prepare your child for grade one over the summer. The following is a list of school supplies that we frequently use.
You are not obligated to purchase these materials. However, if you are planning to buy supplies, we want you to be able to take advantage of all the “back to school” sales that happen during the summer months. Please label your child’s supplies before sending them into school.
Supplies Each Student Will Need*:
· One Subject Notebook
· Two Boxes of Pencils (Standard Pencils; Non-Decorative)
· Pack of Glue Sticks (4 count)
· Pack of Dry Erase Markers for Slates (4 count)
· Box of 24 count crayons
· Standard Pencil Box (please label this with your student’s first and last name)
Classroom Community Supplies:
· Hand Sanitizer
· Two Boxes of Tissues
· Cleaning Wipes
· Pencil Cap Erasers
· Small Trinkets for Prize Jar
· Highlighters
· Sticky Notes
٠ Large and small Ziploc Bags
Items NOT Recommended for First Grade:
· Markers
· Individual Pencil Sharpeners
· Rulers
· Pens
If you buy larger packs of any of the above supplies, please keep the extras at home for when your child runs out at school. Any supplies that do not fit into your child’s pencil box, will be sent back home. Space is very tight in the classrooms. We will also gladly accept donated supplies to be shared with the entire class. Please write a note to let us know if you are sending something in for general classroom use.
Thank you so much. Enjoy your summer vacation!
